Foxy Fables Review!

When authors create characters, they often invest a lot of time and energy into mapping out who the character is and why, their past and present, hopes, fears and traumas. It is so satisfying when a reader positively hits the nail on the head as to the author’s intentions when writing their characters. I am so thrilled that Marie of the bookish Foxy Fables Blog read and reviewed The Manchineel and absolutely gets Elyse and Ben! Her review is so thoughtful and detailed, if you’re wondering whether The Manchineel is worth a read, check out her blog. I found both Elyse and Ben to be compelling characters, with a special fondness for Elyse. Her quiet, unassuming nature, paired with bouts of necessary assertiveness, struck a chord with me.
